Gunnison Community School Advisory and Accountability Committee

The SAAC has a charge to ensure independent review of school performance, budgeting, parent engagement and school leadership. The state requires that SAAC meet quarterly, though SAAC may meet more often, dependent on need. SAAC brainstorms problems and solutions, synthesizes the information (based on facts and statistics) and offers feedback to administrators. A parent or community member becomes involved in SAAC because they are interested in the success of all students. SAAC is a powerful venue for increasing parent and community involvement in improving achievement for all students. SAAC needs parents from all backgrounds to offer their ideas, their perspectives and their solutions and welcomes you to our meetings. SAAC meets in the GCS Library on the 1st Tuesday of the month Quarterly
